Our custom white oak handrails are handcrafted to your exact dimensions for a clean, timeless staircase upgrade. Each handrail is made from solid white oak hardwood (no finger joints), ensuring strength, beauty, and long-term durability.

Choose your handrail length, preferred finish, and mounting bracket style to create a made-to-order oak stair handrail that fits your space perfectly.

Handrail Length & Profile

• Lengths are listed in 6-inch increments and can be customized down to 1/8"
• Standard square profile: 1.75”H x 1.75”W
• Profile dimensions can be modified upon request (see below)

If your measurement falls between listed sizes, simply round up to the nearest length and include your exact dimension in the Notes section at checkout.

Finish Options

• Unfinished/Sanded Wood
• Clear Matte Poly Topcoat (as shown in listing)
• Rubio Monocoat (stain color + topcoat in one) -- must specify color from chart

👉 We recommend the Matte Poly or Rubio options unless you plan to stain or finish on-site. The Matte Poly topcoat is most popular & creates a smooth, durable surface that’s easy to clean and maintain over time. The Rubio Monocoat option is a stain color & hard wax in one & is good for changing natural color of the wood -- must pick a Rubio color.

Mounting Brackets & Hardware (Optional Add-On)

Mounting brackets and hardware are available to add directly to your handrail purchase. We’ll include the correct number of brackets for your selected length. Bracket do not come pre-installed on the rail.

Returns to the wall are cut at 3-3/8” from the front of the rail, designed to fit the brackets we provide.

Shipping & Long Handrails

Handrails over 105” will ship in two sections due to UPS size limits. We prep a discreet center joint and include all necessary hardware for easy on-site reassembly. Alternative shipping options are available upon request.

Each order is handmade in our shop and ships via UPS Ground.

Yes, 100% real American hardwood. No veneer products are used in our shop, unless requested.

We use 8/4 premium white oak & dark walnut hardwood, all which has been hand picked by Matt.

We sure can! Every item is made to order & can be customize to the 1/8" inch.

If you want to change the square profile dimensions (1-3/4"W x 1-3/4"H) or order a custom length not listed online, no problem at all. All dimensions of your piece can be adjusted upon request.

Please add your custom measurements in the "Notes" section when adding the item to your cart. (Length x Width x Height)

If you don't see the desired length handrail, round to the nearest when purchasing the custom size. (example: 81" custom length would need to purchase a 84" length handrail).
